[DVOC] DVOC Picnic on Sunday August 3rd - you are invited

Jan Gordon has graciously consented to host the Annual
DVOC Picnic on August 3rd at her home. If you have
never been there, it's a neat place. Here's a quote
from Jan: "I will have a flat pasture mowed again for
croquet. Have horseshoe pits. Only three horse shoes,
though. Also can provide long bird walk  through
adjacent properties and back to mine".

Jan will provide condiments, and she will make plenty
of mint-flavored iced-tea and will donate some beer
and "Champagne" that she has on hand. Jan asks that
you not bring bottled water. She will have a cooler
full of iced water with a spout.

The club will provide a case of beer, a case of soda,
hot dog & hamburger buns, paper plates, utensils,
cups, napkins, etc.

If everyone coming brings something for all of us to
share, we will eat, drink & be merry. Examples of what
we need:

A covered dish
Finger sandwiches
Finger foods
Hamburgers/Hot Dogs, whatever else you want to grill
Salads
Chips/Dips/Salsa/Pretzels
Assorted drinks,incl. WINE and more beer
Desserts (one can never have enough desserts)

Time: 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM

Directions to Jan's: 
On the Main Line, Go west on Old Gulph Road, 
OR Montgomery Avenue (Rte 320) OR Schuylkill
Expressway (I 76) to Gulph Mills and Rte 320 East 
to the intersection of Old Gulph, Upper Gulph, South
Gulph and Montgomery Ave.

With Savona Restaurant and the Sunoco Station behind
you, head up the hill, the beginning of Upper Gulph
Road.

Continue 1/4 mile beyond the intersection with King of
Prussia Road. After Cabrini College and BIG OWL
sculpture, turn left into gravel lane with spruce
trees.
