The Delaware Valley Ornithological Club  (DVOC) Weekly Update
 
Decline in Birds - submitted by Debbie Beer - Conservation Chairperson
It's no surprise to learn that even common bird populations are declining,
faced with the same challenges that have already caused other species to be
listed as threatened, endangered, or extinct. Audubon's recent report,
"Common Birds in Decline" describes alarming declines for many of our most
common and beloved birds, as revealed by analysis of the long-running
Christmas Bird Count and Breeding Bird Survey. For more details, visit the
